# How to Make It:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour. Mix until just combined without overmixing.
- Evenly divide batter between prepared pans and smooth the surface. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract, beating until smooth. Divide and tint portions with pink and yellow gel coloring.
- Level cake layers if needed. Place one layer on a serving plate and spread with pink buttercream. Top with second layer and frost entire cake with yellow buttercream.
- Adorn cake with heart and star-shaped sugar decorations. Optionally, sprinkle edible glitter or pearls for added enchantment.
